Mountain Bike with the Aztecs

Our adventure begins with two of the high plateau, Mexican volcanoes, Popocatepetl, a volcano which is still active and Ixtaccihuatl; their peaks exceed 5000m, we continue on into a federal desert park filled with giant cacti and relics of the Cretaceous Period. We then approach the highest volcano in Mexico, the Pico de Orizaba, 5700m. We climb a high pass (4000m) and from here we descend into tropical forests across the Sierra Madre Oriental and finish in rich tropical rainforests, home to coffee, mango, papaya and banana plantations. Our tour continues on with a technical day trip in an astonishing canyon; washing dust away with jungle river rafting, then on to the rainforest of Catemaco, here there are monkeys, birds, waterfalls. We cycle along the sea shore.
