Hidden Valleys of the Pamir
This is a trek into the remote mountains of the Pamir. Our route goes beneath the towering Sabakh peak, we then head easterly across the high passes towards Aksu, Alexander, Homely and the breathtaking Eagle Peak. This walk is a rare window into the past, where some few tourists have been before. We will trek through astounding landscapes and we cross wild rivers that are surrounded by towering peaks and high Glaciers.
Cultural extension on the Silk Road (Uzbekistan) This is a fabulous journey to the ancient of cities Samarkand and Bokhara.
Brief Day to Day Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive Tashkent – transfer to Osh
Arrive at midnight in Tashkent airport, you will be met and transferred to your Hotel. After breakfast we drive from Tashkent to Osh (8 hours). O/N in hotel.

Day 2
Osh – Uzgarish (1200m)
we drive to the small village of Uzgarish in the mountains of Kyrgyzstan. On our way, we stop for lunch in Isfana, where you can visit local bazaar and buy traditional Kyrgyz hats and other souvenirs. O/N in the guest house.

Day 3
Uzgarish – Uriam Campsite (1800m)
After breakfast we start the trek to the mountains. We walk into valley of Laily-Mazar and cross Uriam rivers and then climb further up onto new plateau and into a new valley. O/N in campsite.

Day 4
Uriam – Sabakh Valley (3200m)
Today we come out of the lower valleys and climb through a granite wall gateway into the Sabakh valley. O/N in campsite.

Day 5
Sabakh valley – the foot of Sabakh peak
The trekking pace today is rather relax and comfortable. We make a radial passage to Sabakh peak (5283m) and ascend the moraine path for beautiful views. After a short rest and lunch we set our return trip to campsite. O/N in campsite.

Day 6
Udobny pass (4140m) – Uriam river valley
In the morning we start to walk to the Udobny Pass. It's great climb through juniper forests, until we stop for lunch under the incredible Parus (Sail) mountain. After we make a scree descent into Uriam valley. O/N in campsite.

Day 7
Rest day by the Uriam river
Today we rest and gor a radial walk up the valley, where we can meet local shpherd families. O/N in campsite.

Day 8
Ak-Mechet valley – Ak-Suu and Kara-Suu rivers
We follow the narrow path up towards a little glade that looks back towards the Uriam valley. This is a stunning walk that reaches up to the high saddle and over into the Aksu Valley and Aksu peak (5355m). O/N in campsite.

Radial walk to the foot of Aksu peak (5355m)
We make a radial walk to the glacier lying under summits of Block, Aksu, Admiral Alexander and Iskander peaks. O/N in campsite.

Day 10
Descent to Ak-Mechet and Uzgarish
An easy walking day through juniper forests and open landscapes alongside the Sabakh river. We approach the river estuary and come back into the valley of Laily-Mazar river and so down to Uzgarish village. O/N in guest house.

Uzgarish - Osh
After breakfast we drive back to Osh. In the hotel we have time to rest and freshen up after long road journey. O/N in hotel.

Day 12
Osh – Tashkent
We make the drive back to Tashkent Via Kokand for lunch and a stop to visit an ancient Islamic Palace. On to Tashkent and then after supper, there is a group transfer to Tashkent Airport, where our group package services end.

Tashkent – Urgench - Khiva
This morning we take a flight to Urgench, then drive the short distance to Khiva. In the afternoon our guide will take you on a walking tour of this unique city. O/N in hotel.

Khiva - Bukhara
A long drive today though the Kyzyl Kum or red desert to the magical city of Bukhara. O/N in hotel.

Day 15
In Bukhara
Bukhara is the quintessential Silk Road city. Today enjoy a full day tour through the narrow streets of old Bukhara, visiting the Ark Citadel, residence of the Emirs of Bukhara and the Zindan prison. O/N in hotel.

Bukhara - Samarkand
Today continue along the Golden Road to Samarkand. We stop at Vabkent Minaret and Gijduvan. Arrive in Samarkand in the late afternoon. O/N in hotel.

Samarkand
Samarkand, one of the cities of the ancient Silk Road. The most magnificent architecture in the Islamic world can be found here with some wonderful mosques, mausoleums and madrassahs. O/N in hotel.

Samarkand - Tashkent
Drive to Tashkent, where there will be free time for last shopping, sightseeing or just relaxing in this city before our late flight. Our final dinner in a local restaurant, after we transfer you to the airport.

For short stay visits to Kyrgyzstan a visa is required for most countries. We advise you to check with you embassy or consulate for further information and advice if needs be. Kit List
While walking you will be required to carry your own day pack that will have water, warm clothes, maybe gloves and a hat etc. You will require suitable walking boots which we suggest are worn in and waterproof. We will send you a comprehensive kit list with the welcome pack that we forward, upon your booking with us. Rental Options
